The ultimate egg salad sandwich recipe.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped chives, chopped parsley, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Season the egg salad mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning according to your preference.
- Toast the slices of bread until golden brown and crisp.
- To assemble the sandwiches, place a lettuce leaf on one slice of toasted bread. Spoon a generous amount of the egg salad mixture over the lettuce.
- If desired, add sliced tomatoes and/or avocado on top of the egg salad.
- Top with another slice of toasted bread to complete the sandwich.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make additional sandwiches.
- Slice the sandwiches diagonally and serve immediately.
